Little Econ District – Order of the Arrow

Fellow Scouts and Scouters,

Allow us to be the first to congratulate you on your election to the Order of the Arrow. You are about to embark on one of Scouting’s most rewarding experiences. Just like Scouting, the Order of the Arrow was founded on the principals of the Scout Oath and Law, only the Order fully perpetuates their meaning by raising the standard of excellence even higher.

The first step of this journey, your journey, begins now. On January 8-10, 2015 your Ordeal will take place at the beautiful Camp La-No-Che. Check in will being at 5:30pm, Friday, January 8, 2015. Please arrive by 7:30pm. If you will be late, please contact us so that we can see if arrangements can be made.

Your Scoutmaster should have your BSA Medical Form. Please bring a copy of it. If you do not bring your BSA Medical Form, you will not be able to complete the Ordeal.

Below is a list of items that you will need for the weekend. Please remember to bring old work clothes that can get dirty. In addition to the listed items, please bring any typical camping gear that you would need, including: toiletries, tent, etc.

Friday Night Saturday
Sleeping Bag Work Clothes
Ground Cloth Gloves
Poncho Canteen/Water Bottle
Canteen/Water Bottle Long Pants

Remember to bring your full uniform.

During the month prior to your Ordeal, it’s typical to be curious about what’s going to happen or to have others attempt to explain what might happen at the Ordeal. While we understand this, we fully encourage you to wait and discover everything for yourself. Having gone through our own Ordeals, we fully agree this experience is truly unique and should be experienced only at the Ordeal.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you into the Ordeal!
